Who we are
Build Your Own Family Trip is a platform by BYO / Build Your Own Trip, based in the Netherlands. We help families with children plan memorable trips to Spain and other destinations. You can reach us at privacy@buildyourownfamilytrip.com.
Which data we collect
We only collect data that is necessary for the platform to work:
- Account data — name and email address when registering through email/password or Google OAuth (via Supabase).
- Newsletter sign-up — email address when you subscribe to our newsletter.
- Usage data — anonymised page views and click behaviour through PostHog for analytics.
- Error reports — technical error data through Sentry to safeguard platform quality.
- Affiliate data — clicks on partner links are tracked to measure revenue. No personal data is shared with affiliate partners.
We do not collect data directly from minors. Accounts are created by parents or guardians (18+).
How we use data
- Providing access to the platform and personal features such as saved trips.
- Sending the newsletter, only with your consent.
- Improving the platform using usage statistics.
- Detecting and resolving technical issues.
We never sell your data to third parties and do not use it for ad targeting.
